John O'Sullivan is a painter who lives and works in Kenmare Co.Kerry.
Born in 1957 he graduated from UCD in 1980 and worked in the UK and within the multinational sector in Ireland. He was fortunate to be able to take early retirement and devote himself full time to painting in 2013.
John has been a student of the artist and teacher Promilla Luthra Shaw since 2014 whose guidance and encouragement has helped him develop his own unique style in abstract landscapes and seascapes.
Painting in oils and favouring palette knives, his work is energetic and vibrant capturing light and movement in an emotional and instinctive manner.
